Your Spring Footwear Wardrobe
The power of a pair of shoes should never be underestimated, here's your guide to putting your best foot forward this season...
My love affair with shoes started with my first pair of Doc Martens back in the early 90s. I treasured and adored those boots, I had different laces for them (which I would change regularly to co-ordinate with my outfit) and took care of them with pride. I also remember my first pair of heels - some lace-up brogues that I wore to the school disco in the hope they’d help me get noticed by my crush who was a couple of years older than me (they didn’t!)
Purchasing shoes in secondary school was a painful process - I wanted the latest pair of Kickers but school rules said otherwise. I remember my Mum relenting in the end and letting me get some. The thrill of walking into school wearing them that first day of term in September is something that still stays with me. I just felt so cool (looking back they were the ugliest things but I thought I looked amazing!)
But that is the power of shoes; not only do they change your whole outfit, they change the way you stand, walk and feel overall. So with this in mind, let’s build your Spring footwear wardrobe so you can put your best foot forward, whatever the occasion.
