The sales are in full swing and there are certainly some bargains to be had at this time of year - but how do you know whether you’re making a smart saving, or getting lured by a lower price tag?

I’ll be the first to admit I hate sales shopping - it’s messy, overwhelming and often leads to more frustration than shopping satisfaction. Having said that, when done properly, you really can make some savvy savings on items that may otherwise have been out of your budget.
